An
employee
contract template should have all the basic
rules in it so that they know from day one -
the day they sign the contract exactly what
is expected of them. If it is in black and white
and is handed to them on the first day they
start, then it certainly will clearly identify
your expectations. Often issues arise in a business
when the expectations are not communicated well
enough and an employee contract is simply communicating
these expectations in a formal way so that both
parties can agree what is expected and build
their relationship from a strong base.
There
are plenty of examples around that you can use
as a base for a good employee contract. However,
you must consider the quality of the material
you find. You certainly need to have the right
clauses in the document so you can confidently
know that in the future if things turn sour
you can refer back to the contract.
Really,
a contract may seem like a large task for something
as simple as employing a person however the
issues often arise down the track when things
have changed dramatically and people have been
around you business for quite sometime.
