3. Play particular music playing where people are buying. This creates atmosphere.

4. Create a very unique fitout to the shop. This also adds atmosphere.

All these items differentiate yourself from your competitors and are a start. You should try and apply all of these things and more.

This applies to eBay as well. To make more money - create or find unique features of your company or small business - then promote the hell out of it.

It is just a matter of thinking carefully and then applying your ideas and testing, testing, testing.
