prize money for lottery is so big these days
it is mind boggling.

trying to establish a "pattern." Either
they are looking for which numbers come up more
often, or which have been neglected. They use
this information as a basis for the numbers

With the number of balls in lottery (usually
40 - 45), it is difficult if not impossible
to predict which will come up, based on past
performance.
Playing
by birthdays, addresses, or lucky numbers is
the same. The idea is that if you always play
the same numbers, they will eventually come
up.
In
theory, this is true, but you could be waiting
for a lifetime before your numbers come up!
If
you play the lottery consistently your chance
of winning something - even if it is a small
amount are higher.
Anyway
- playing the lotto can be fun - just make sure
